 In
April of 1998, "LEGENDARY BINGO " served up its first set of
balls at Stonewall Gourmet Coffee in West Hollywood as a fundraising
event for AIDS Project Los Angeles. A few months later, the evening
began to benefit a different charity each week and celebrity
ball-callers began arriving on the scene (our first celebrity- Jean
Smart). After two years of packed houses every Thursday night, we said
goodbye to Stonewall (well, actually Stonewall said goodbye to
everyone by going out of business) and moved on.
Now, almost eight years after the very first ball rolled out of the
cage, Legendary Bingo has found many wonderful homes across the
Southland and beyond! Each Wednesday night, Legendary Bingo events are
held at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. The first and third
Mondays of each month, we are in Palm Springs and the second and
fourth Sundays, we are in Newport Beach! In addition to the weekly
charity bingo nights, we are solidly booked for private parties in
homes, churches, restaurants, poolside, in hotel rooms…anywhere that
they can fit our balls!
To date, we have raised more than $800,000 for local and national
charities and the arts. And so much more to come!
